Hi, I’m Madeline

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPC) in both New Mexico and Colorado. My practice specializes in working with women and non-binary folks as they navigate challenges associated with the reproductive years. I work with individuals and couples to offer support through a variety of issues including miscarriage, pregnancy and postpartum, and transition to parenthood and associated challenges. I have over 10 years of experience working with children and adults, first as an educator and now as a counselor.

I am Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) and have specific training in evidence-based practices for treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). These include: Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP). I am trained by Postpartum Support International (PSI) and have completed formal supervision in the treatment of PMADs.

I am also a mental health provider with the American Alpine Club’s Climbing Grief Fund. I am an avid rock climber and trail runner and I absolutely love working with members of the outdoor community.

Madeline is an affirmative therapist who welcomes individuals of all identities. She considers issues of women's health to extend beyond the binary. While she specializes in maternal mental health, Madeline works with a variety of issues including generalized anxiety and depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions.

  • If you have questions about therapy or want to make sure I am the right fit, fill out the contact form and I will be in touch. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to answer questions you may have prior to moving forward with scheduling the first session.

  • STEP 1 : Contact me to ensure I’ll be the right fit for you. We can talk about expectations, my therapeutic process, and payment.

STEP 2 : If you would like to move forward, you’ll sign consent forms and schedule the initial intake session.

STEP 3: The intake session is a 50 minute initial interview where I will be gathering information about your presenting concerns and some past history. This is also a good time for you to feel me out as well. If it doesn’t feel like a good fit I’ll help you find another therapist. Don’t worry, my feelings won’t be hurt. Finding a therapist you connect with is an important part of the process.

STEP 4: if you choose to move forward in your work with me, we’ll talk about your goals for therapy and come up with a treatment plan. The treatment plan is intended to be a dynamic document that we can revise at any point.

  • What is Integrative Psychotherapy?

An integrative approach to therapy means the provider has specific training in several therapies and they utilize aspects of each to create an individualized plan that best fits the needs of the client. As an integrative therapist, I do not believe in the “one size fits all” approach. I will get to know you and your specific needs and we will talk about a path forward that fits for you.

How often will I meet with you?

Frequency of sessions is determined by you and your therapist. Determining factors include severity of your condition, financial resources, and scheduling challenges. For example, if meeting weekly is way too stressful with your work schedule or childcare, then let’s talk about meeting every other week.

    Can we meet in person?

Yes! I see clients in-person in Denver, Colorado. If you are located in New Mexico or somewhere else in Colorado you are always welcome to visit Denver and see me in-person, but Telehealth may be more convenient.

The relationship with your therapist is a fundamental piece of therapy.

I offer a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation to answer any questions you may have and to determine if I’ll be a good fit for you.
